I think you hit the guideline, that being that you are comfortable. Most people here in this forum will tell you that the bike is a blast for what it is. See the discussion about torque vs. horsepower in a previous thread. The Savage has good torque and it makes it fun for bigger people.
You may consider top speed a limitation but I don't think driver wieght is an issue there.
I only ride by myself. I have not taken anyone on the backseat (if you want to call it a seat).
If you want to get talked into buying a Savage, you came to the right place though.
